A Poem By Emily Upton About The Point
So they asked me to write a poem about the Point
Say the only rule is that it doesn't rhyme with joint
So I'm sitting here as stuck as mud, thinking what to write
How do I fit in its open every Tuesday and Thursday night
Or how do I explain that the place is simply the best
If you need to cry with laughter or explode from stress
Sounds cheesy to say that the youth workers really care
Maybe I should say something about all the projects that are there
If you're into music then Jammin, Wednesday nights your thing
Have a go on the drums, bass or even let us hear you sing
Probably should say something about if you need good advice
Make an appointment at FIP if you really want to be precise
There's DJ Decks, a pool table, playstations and so much more
Who ever you are, what ever your story its an open door
Should somehow mention how much The Point has helped me
Not quite sure without everyone there where I'd be
Oh and this would be a good time to advertise 'Big Sis'
Thirteen to sixteen it is way too good an opportunity to miss!
Out and about, the town on a Friday night in Fleet
Could always give detached team a call arrange to meet
So to sum it all up I just wanted to say the place is great
If you need a shoulder to cry on, or just a joke with a mate
There we go there's my poem about The Point
Now just to work out what else I can rhyme with other than joint..............
